More tradies needed to help cover storm-hit homes with new ‘shrink-wrap’ technology

After devastating storms hit the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, more than 90 homes were protected by Stormseal; a new, state-of-the-art, patented material, designed to heat-seal buildings and roofs against wind and rain. With a spike in the number of happy residents and improved productivity, orders for Stormseal are flowing in from insurers and major building networks, however more fitters are needed to help meet the increasing demand.
HomeRepair, a large insurance builder who have a license with Stormseal, contracted Nick Hatch from Insurance Roofing Australia to secure the storm-damaged homes in Victoria. Nick found that after subsequent bad weather hit the region they received no calls to re-secure homes fitted with Stormseal.
“This is a product that really works but the challenge is to get more people accredited to fit Stormseal, especially as storm season is upon us. For Victoria we had to fly in 15 trained fitters from NSW and QLD to meet the demand,” said Mr Hatch.
