It’s been a challenging year for everyone, but made better by the great work of our accredited Stormsealers who protected and provided peace of mind to hundreds of families and property owners.
We want to say a big THANKS to all our installers with a 20% discount on all Stormeal rolls, as we recap some of the weather events they’ve responded to this year:
March
Springfield Lakes, QLD – The storm after the storm!
Wild weather wrought havoc on thousands of Springfield Lakes residents who were under tarps awaiting permanent repairs after the October 2020 hailstorm. Thankfully, Stormseal protected homes stayed intact and watertight – even staying strong one year on!
April
WA – Cyclone Seroja
Cyclone Seroja carved a path of destruction across a 1,000km stretch of Western Australia, damaging 70% of homes in Kalbarri and Northampton.
June – November
VIC – Multiple windstorms
Wild weather battered Victoria throughout the year, felling hundreds of trees and causing extensive damage to homes, businesses and infrastructure. The November event is expected to cost insurers over $1 billion. Maybe it would be less if they were all using Stormseal!
October
Mackay, QLD – Hailstorm
Giant ice stones pelted the Mackay region, setting a new Australian record with some hail measuring 16cm in diameter.
November
Louisiana, USA – Army trials Stormseal
The U.S. Army is trialling Stormseal help residents recover from Hurricane Ida, which devastated the state of Louisiana. If successful, the U.S. Army may integrate Stormseal into their response for future hurricanes and natural disasters. Read more >
