Stormseal<\/a> has been named a finalist in the Australian Technologies Competition<\/a> (ATC) for its innovative further storm protection system following extreme weather events.<\/h2>\n

\u201cWe are in great company with 17 other finalist technology companies spanning across ten industries,\u201d said Managing Director and Stormseal inventor Matt Lennox.<\/p>\n

“Our invention super seals buildings and roofs damaged by storms or left open during construction and aids extreme weather victims, their insurers and builders following such events. It was also supported by a $452,162 federal government commercialisation grant back in 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince then, this grant has allowed to market our produce and help people in Australia, and around the world protect, their homes from further damage following storms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe recognition provided by the ATC is a great forward step on our road to success and allow us to continue to help vulnerable people devastated by extreme weather events,\u201d said Matt.<\/p>\n

The Australian Technologies Competition<\/a> aims to identify and accelerate Australian technology ‘scaleups’ with the greatest global potential.<\/h4>\n

It\u2019s supported by the Department of Industry, Innovation & Science, the Industry Growth Centres and Industry partners. This year will see the Competition into its ninth year. During this period, it has created an alumni pool of over 200 semi-finalists and finalists, many of whom have had significant international success.<\/p>\n

The Competition brings experienced entrepreneurs, business builders, angel investors, venture capital funds, commercialisation experts, leading corporates and government representatives together with founders, in a collaborative coaching environment. It has a strong focus on equipping founders with the skills and contacts to develop and manage high growth companies in challenging international markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cATC has 10 awards up for grabs and Stormseal is hoping it will be successful, but even it it\u2019s not is still proud of this recognition as it followed a rigorous assessment process that was scrutinised by an independent panel of judges,\u201d said Matt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Out of 33 semi-finalist companies, these were then whittled down to the 17 finalist companies, who will compete at this year\u2019s National Finals being held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 29 October 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also give best wishes to those that got this far, as they are all excellent companies. It\u2019s going to be a tough competition,\u201d concluded Matt.<\/p>\n
