Innovation Knocks on Storm Season Eve
Dec/Jan 2017
Storms and hail damage make up for 48% of insurance losses in Australia. Insurance builders can now improve their service by training staff to use a new shrink-wrap technology, which is revolutionising they way storm and hail damaged homes are covered.
An all Australian invention, Stormseal is a lightweight, strong and patented material that is easy to install and can provide wind and watertight cover for as long as two years whilst a property awaits repair, which is good news for insurers and homeowners.
Stormseal inventor and Managing Director, Matthew Lennox, said his product will eventually replace most of the floppy, flyaway tarpaulins, currently used following major storms, as Stormseal provides greater protection.
